Katie Gropper is the Chief Assistant District Attorney in the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit of Georgia. Prior to becoming Chief Assistant District Attorney, Katie was the Deputy Chief of the Special Victims Unit and spent 16 years specializing in the prosecution of crimes against children.  After many years of experiencing the negative effects of burnout and vicarious trauma associated with her work, Katie now champions the importance of creating a culture of balance and self-care within our professional lives in order to meet the needs of our victims and our communities without sacrificing ourselves.
