Shalimar Oliver

Shalimar Oliver is the Animal Crimes Manager for the Humane Society of the United States where she oversees puppy mill/pet store investigations as well as other egregious cases of animal cruelty such as large-scale neglect and animal fighting. In this role, Ms. Oliver also works as a disaster responder and national instructor for the HSUS Law Enforcement Training Center. Ms. Oliver is a member of the International Veterinary Forensics Science Association and serves on the animal abuse and humane law enforcement advisory committee for the Small and Rural Law Enforcement Executives Association. As a senior Animal Control Officer for the County of San Diego for over 10 years, she was a disaster responder, FTO and academy trainer, and also worked for the San Diego Humane Society as a behavior counselor. Prior to this, Ms. Oliver was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, where she worked at the Sydney RSPCA and an Australian wildlife park.
