U.S. Center for SafeSport

Patrick Caldwell joined the U.S. Center for SafeSport as a Training Manager in October 2021. He is responsible for helping create, manage, and facilitate the Center’s abuse prevention training programs. Prior to the Center, Mr. Caldwell spent 15 years with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, first as a case manager and culminating in heading the training, education, and volunteer enrollment efforts for the non-profit. In that role, he was responsible for designing and delivering trainings for a variety of audiences on, among other topics, child safety, red flags, self-advocacy, and trauma-informed mentoring. For the last six years, Mr. Caldwell was also the Research Liaison between BBBSC and the University of Illinois at Chicago and Portland State University, looking into how exactly mentoring helps young people avoid involvement with the juvenile justice system and how adult/youth mentoring relationships endure.
