Retired Sgt. Ron Beatty began his law enforcement career in 1997 joining the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Police Department. From there he would go on to work for the Seward Nebraska Police Department, Bennington Nebraska Police Department and finishing his career as an Administrative Sergeant at the Metropolitan Community College Police Department in Omaha Nebraska. Throughout his career he served as a patrol officer, evidence room supervisor, public information officer, computer crime investigator, patrol supervisor and dignitary events commander. Sgt. Beatty also was involved in training recruits at the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center as a guest instructor for domestic violence and as a guest instructor for criminal justice classes at Metropolitan Community College, where he also instructed department personnel, college staff and students in A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate) active shooter survival as a certified A.L.I.C.E. instructor and overall campus safety awareness. After retiring in May of 2018 and relocating to Goodyear Arizona, Ron Beatty began his second career with the State of Arizona as an investigator with Adult Protective Services. In February 2019 he became the training officer for Arizona Adult Protective Services and the Division of Aging and Adult Services.
