Mark Neil is retired and currently residing in Virginia. He began his prosecution career in West Virginia where he served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for 17 years handling both felony and misdemeanor trial prosecution. He then served for 3 1/2 years as the Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor for the WV Prosecuting Attorneys Institute. Following that, Mr. Neil became a Senior Attorney with the National District Attorneys Association's National Traffic Law Center where he provided training and technical assistance to prosecutors across the country. Most recently, he was a Program Counsel with the National Association of Attorneys General developing and providing training and support to attorneys and other staff of the various state and territory attorneys general offices, from which he retired due to a medical disability. Mr. Neil also served as a law enforcement officer while an undergraduate and law student, an adjunct professor in criminal justice at Mountain State University in WV, and adjunct faculty at the WV State Police Academy.
