Laura Smalarz

Assistant Professor of Psychology


Dr. Smalarz received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Iowa State University in 2015. She is a professor and researcher in the Law and Behavioral Science group at Arizona State University, where she conducts experimental research on eyewitness identification evidence and evaluations of eyewitness testimony. She has also conducted research on police interrogations and forensic analysis. Her work has been funded by the National Institute of Justice and the National Science Foundation. Dr. Smalarz is an editorial board member for Law and Human Behavior and Psychology, Public Policy, and Law and serves on the Research Advisory Board at the Innocence Project.
