Jared Johnson serves as one of three Arizona GOHS Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutors (TSRP) through a grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. With a focus on Prop 207 and marijuana related traffic offenses, Mr. Johnson works with law enforcement, prosecutors, traffic safety professionals, judges, and the community to more effectively address impaired driving and other traffic safety issues. After graduating from the University of Arizona Law School, Mr. Johnson began his career clerking for Judge Christopher Browning in Pima County before serving as an Assistant City Prosecutor for the Town of Marana. He then worked for 5 years at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office serving in both the Repetitive Offender Prosecution Bureau and the Gang Bureau primarily focused on serious violent felonies. Since 2017 he has been an Assistant City Prosecutor with the City of Scottsdale Prosecutor’s Office specializing in the prosecution of DUI cases.
