Doreen Nicholas is the Survivor Engagement and Systems Change Specialist at the Arizona Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence (ACESDV). Doreen has over 40 years of experience both personally and as a worker in the Anti - Sexual and Domestic Violence Movements. Doreen has done direct services with survivors in shelter settings, transitional housing and has facilitated support groups throughout her career and to this day. She is a faculty member of the Arizona Victim Assistance Academy and the National Organization for Victim Assistance. She works to assist communities to provide a coordinated, compassionate, informed response to Domestic Violence. Ms. Nicholas does community trainings on the local, state, national and, one-time, international level. She is passionate about survivors’ voices and experiences being at the center of our work.
