This course is designed for both felony and misdemeanor prosecutors who have a minimum of two years’ experience conducting DUI trials and is open to all full-time prosecutors.

Jay Chapman has been an Assistant City Prosecutor for the City of Phoenix for twelve years. He is a Team Captain in the Trial Bureau of the Prosecutor’s Office where he has conducted hundreds of bench trials and jury trials. He supervises, trains, and mentors attorneys and has presented to prosecutors on the topics of Domestic Violence, Jury Selection, Commercial Trucking cases, Strangulation cases, Fatality and Serious Injury cases, and Cross-Examination. He is a certified instructor at the Phoenix Police Academy and a City of Phoenix Adjunct Faculty Facilitator of the city’s Emotional Intelligence course. He has been a guest speaker at the city’s leadership programs and at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University.
