The class will take you through a complex marijuana case from start to finish and touch on wiretapping, long-term undercover operations, as well as quick hit marijuana reverses and hash oil labs. It will include an overview of marijuana laws, and contain information about financial techniques, proffers, and forfeiture. Overall, the class will provide investigators and prosecutors the tools to combat and eradicate black market marijuana operations.
Darcy Kofol, Senior Deputy District Attorney, 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office
Darcy Kofol is currently a Senior Deputy District Attorney, specializing in dismantling and prosecuting large scale drug trafficking organizations, at the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. Darcy works closely with DEA and has indicted a multitude of large illegal marijuana trafficking organizations in the past few years. She has tried one of the biggest white collar/black market marijuana trials in the history of Colorado. Darcy is well versed in marijuana law and licensing as well as the black market marijuana trade. Prior, Darcy was an Assistant District Attorney in Boston Massachusetts, assigned to the Superior Court Narcotics Unit. Darcy graduated from Princeton University, where she received a degree from the Woodrow Wilson School for International Affairs and Public Policy, and Northeastern University School of Law. Darcy lives in Denver with her husband, daughters, and Rottweiler puppy.
